Lunch with Our Lady

Thank Jesus, I'm on the internet!

Unfortunately, our room in Chicago did not have a proper internet connection to my computer, so I couldn't get online. So, the blog had to be postponed for a few days. Thank God for Marriott....Hilton Sucks. So, I'll start again where we left off.....

So, across from our hotel in Windsor was this really nice park, with a great view of Detroit...which you can see here....across the river.

Panorama!

And here I am taking a picture of myself, in front of the Detroit Skyline. Alright...time to hit the road! Here we are in the tunnel under the Detroit River....we happened to get stuck in traffic RIGHT on the boarderline, so I took a picture of it. At the time, my feet were in America, but my face wasn't.After leaving Detroit, we headed off to South Bend, Indiana, to have lunch at the University of Notre Dame. Here's a picture of Notre Dame stadium, where the football team plays (once coached by Knute Rockne - the dude who told people to "Win One for the Gipper" in that movie with the president....).But the real reason I wanted to stop at Notre Dame was to see the famous "Touchdown Jesus" mural on the library. Jade and Jesus (AKA Ernest Goes to College). Hey - can I now say that Jesus and I went to college together? After leaving Notre Dame, we drove the rest of the way to Chicago. Here is a picture of the lobby of the Palmer House Hotel...where we stayed for the past 2 days. Beautiful Lobby. Crummy rooms.

And, just in case the photo montage wasn't enough for you, here's this whole leg of the trip in video form.
